Some wave cloud

Flying around the Darling Downs on Sun 3rd March. I tried to get some nice pics of clouds, this was one of the better ones that didn't have too much reflection off the canopy.

The wave bounces did start below the cumulus base but where it was contactable was quite narrow and it was necessary to go through the cumulus to get above about 9200' . I wasn't going to do that as we don't have cloud instruments and it was 10+ knots; trying to climb the side it rapidly dropped to zero climb. I don't know how much higher it might have been possible to get, I'm sure it would have been safe to go up through the cumulus (have done it before in a hang glider), as the clouds were not very tall and the wave smooth at that point, but I decided to stay cautious and the right way up!

The two images are the same - but one is bigger when you click on it.
