Anyone know what this is?

This insect was in a plant in next doors garden; it was very patient while we took photos as the light was fading. This was about the best one I got.

Young King Parrot

Got home today from work and while I was watering the garden this young parrot was squeaking for attention. I fed him a few sunflower seeds, which he was happy to take out of my hand, and I got this nice picture.

Back in Tawonga South now.

No it's not winter yet. Just thought this was a nice picture. Taken last winter by Allan Barnes, on a day when it snowed almost down to Mt Beauty. The photo is taken in the vicinity of Lake Guy , Bogong village.
