Dragon in the water

Just outside the flat I looked over the edge into the river and saw this which I think is called a bearded dragon. The small mangrove plant is about 2 to 3 cm across, for scale.

An old photo from 2000 I think, just found it again. This was approaching a beach near Nelson on a summer day, like a shark slowly creeping up. Not that slow actually, about 60kph at least. It was sunny, people were sunbathing, they didn't know what was about to hit them...
